For more than 40 years Adult & Community Education (ACE) has been leading the way in providing adult education for persons 16 years and older in our community. We are proud to be part of Leon County Schools! We offer classes in six areas: GED® preparation, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), High School Credit retrieval, Adult High School (AE), Adults with Disabilities and Senior.

The Adult Education program at Tallahassee Community College offers two exciting courses to help students earn an introductory credential along with skills to successfully enter the workforce. Our GED preparation course prepares adults of any age to take the GED® test .

Adult education programs also help adult learners gain the knowledge and skills they need to enter and succeed in postsecondary education. Adult learners enrolled in Adult High School can earn a high school diploma or its equivalent by successfully passing the Standard GED ® tests.

All Adult Education Students (GED® and ESOL) must participate in TCC’s Adult Education Student Orientation. Not every student begins Adult Education courses on the first day of each semester. Therefore, it is required that new students complete the orientation session shortly after beginning class either in-person or online.
